The Hikes
The trails used by English Walk and Talk are in the Okutama region of the Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park, located near Tokyo. It is a peaceful area of beautiful rolling mountains, deep river valleys and bubbling streams. It is full of wildflowers and wildlife, and the beauty is changing all year round with the seasons. Anytime you go Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park provides an amazing experience of Japanese nature.
Half day walks are also led in Tokyo.

Time and Meeting Place
Start: Meet at Shinjuku Station at 8:00 am, outside the ticket gates of the West Exit. Catch the 8:21 am Chuo Line Rapid Train to Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park.
Finish: Return to Shinjuku station at around 6:00 pm.

Number of Students per hike
Only 4 students per hike. Never more than 4 students. Great student to teacher ratio. Lots of opportunity for conversation. (Two or more students needed per hike.)
Transportation
Rapid train from Chuo station. Students pay their own transportation. Approxiameltly 1hr.
Arrangements can be made if student would like to drive their own car to the station in Okutama.

Lunch, Snacks and Drinks
Student brings their own lunch and drinks. No lunch is provided. Some snacks are included.
